The Gray Area Isn’t Supposed to Be Here

*Wild Card Post*

I’m just gonna say getting back into writing is hard. So please don’t expect much from this post lol.

.

Everything is either good, or evil.

God smites the wicked and blesses the righteous.

There is no in between.

.

They tell me I am good,

That I have faults, but I can fix those.

Because there is no man without sin.

But I’m not supposed to do them again,

Supposed to just snap my fingers and quit.

“Start today,” they say, “don’t put it off”

Well I hate to break it to you,

But I’m a chronic procrastinator

And really good at making the same mistakes.

.

But what’s wrong with a different path?

Some of the nicest people I’ve met came from other places.

People who simply saw a different picture

Looking through the fogged window from heaven.

Are they evil? Wicked?

Will their cities burn if they don’t conform?

And what of those who changed their minds,

Found happiness, love,

Somewhere else?

.

Does God really only work in black and white?

The gray area disreguarded, shoved to one side.

If you’re spreading love, then why does it matter what side of the fence you’re on?
